Day 9

Emotional Drama of the Year

I don’t really get emotional at dramas - it takes a LOT -so the closest for me is My Only 12%. When Cake moves away - I felt really bad for Seeiw.  SantaEarth did a great job in this one. 

Comfort Drama

Love in the Air (episodes 1-7) - I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rewatched these episodes. It makes me sooo happy!

Emotional: 

I tend not to watch if I know it has a sad ending since the emotional wreckage caused by MODC and 25/21 (non-BL). So far this year it would be following which I haven’t even finished watching:

Eternal Yesterday - I KNOW what’s coming but can’t bear to watch the last 2 episodes just yet. 

Choko Milkshake - total emotional roller coaster- cried like a toddler during the latest episode. Hoping against hope that the last episode will have some kind of miracle happy ending 

Escape from reality shows:

I can't think of shows that made me cry a lot this year, so I'm skipping this one!

1. "I WILL KNOCK YOU" is definitely on the way to becoming one of my escape dramas. It's so cute and funny!!

FAVORITE CURRENTLY AIRING DRAMA

My School President all the way! I am in love. It's been 2 episodes and I'm in love. Everything about it is perfect and I absolutely love it.

Others that I'm loving are Between Us, Ai Long Nai, and Choco Milk Shake

FAVORITE NON BL

It's either Reborn Rich or The First Responders. So damn good.

  • Yoon (Kamol) in Unforgotten Night (he was just a funny gangster) 
  • Kissable Lips & The Tuxedo (Also, just all bad)

2. Favorite Currently Airing Drama 

I don't watch many ongoing series, so I'll go with - My School President, though 609 Bedtime Story seems to be interesting so far. 

3. Best Non BL drama/ Movie of the Year 

Does non-BL also means non gay series? as I want to say Young Royals. 

Anyway, I will go with - 

Series: Bad and Crazy (it ended in 22) , Only Murders in the Building and Under the Skin.

Film: The Blue Caftan, Where Butterflies Don't Fly, El Houb - The Love (all gay themed films), if it has to be non gay too so: Downton Abbey: A New Era as it seems to be the only non-gay themed film I've seen from 2022.

If you don't like sad endings I don't recommend watching the series. Though the ending wasn't unexpected or anything since the outcome was known from the beginning
