Too White and other makeup issues

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that some of the makeup in recent K-dramas is too white?  The actors all  look like they have leukemia.  A little bronzer would make them look healthier.  Sometimes the lip color chosen for male actors, particularly in historical settings, breaks the fourth wall for me.
