CX slammed his fist into a tree and split the tree in half and collapsed after XY said she would accept Feng Long's proposal.

CX has been hinting his feelings to XY but she never gets the hints.

Which is crazy cause looking back, it was so painfully obvious.

 I remember there's a part where he's trying to explain how he feels about her getting married and she's like, 'Oh me too I've felt the same way'. 

I was confused because on the one hand, yes she was jealous, but on the other hand, not 'omg the love of my life is getting married to someone else' jealous.

Wow, I really want to see this on screen. How scandalous could this be? ? But yeah, how come she doesn't get his hints?

Rereading the novel I've come to realize that XY is the type of person where when she doesn't want to see something or believe something she simply won't. I can't be sure but I feel like this is part of it. At one point she and Xuan had the potential to be together but once that point passed, there's probably no reason for her to be cognisant of signs that Xuan is giving off. This is just my speculation though.

I think she might just prefer straight forward I like you etc.  She's the type that doesn't like to guess. Jing was the only who came out and told her his feelings. Let me ask you, at any point did Xiao Yao ever think about wanting to be more with her Xuan gege?

That's true. As for the next part, from what I remember, only at the part where he asks her directly if he ever stood a chance (i.e. when she tries to kill him and herself). I'll look again and see if I missed something/forgot something.  

Oh! And right before she finds out Xuan killed Jing, there is a part where he is more direct about how he feels and how he knows it will take awhile for her to open her heart but he can wait. She was trying to fight against the idea because of Jing but at the same time, I got the vibe she might have considered it. But don't quote me on that. I need to go back and find the chapter to make sure I'm remembering that right.

Zhuan Xu didn't turn around and was so cold like a rock. Xing Yue's tears fell and she pressed forward to kiss him.

Zhuan Xu finally turned around and pressed her down underneath him. In the darkness she couldn't see his face but her body could feel him. In that moment he was like another person, his actions were filled with pent up longing and overflowing tenderness. Xing Yue felt that she was drowning in his passion and in the moment when he entered her, Xing Yue's tears fell in happiness. Then she heard something, soft and barely perceptible, she heard Zhuan Xu seemingly call out "Xiao Yao". Xing Yue was like a cat straining to hear but she heard nothing else and soon she was swept up in the moment and forgot everything. By the time she woke the next morning, she couldn't be certain what she heard last night was real or just a figment of her imagination.

Those three nights became Xing Yue's deepest secret.

Gradually Xing Yue forgot those three nights because she wanted to forget. Zhuan Xu treated her nice but not passionate though never cold. He treated her better than his other consorts and that was enough to make Xing Yue content.


its my habit to save interesting chapter amd and I found this is the indication that ZhuanXu really loves Xiaoyao to the point calling her name when he made love with XianYue. what do you guys think?

Tonight they drank and held nothing back, gulping down wine like water until both were roaring drunk. Zhuan Xu grabbed Xiao Yao's hand and kept saying "Don't leave me!" Xiao Yao kept hollering "It's you guys who don't want me!"
Zhuan Xu said "I want you. You be my Empress. I don't want anyone else, I'll kick them all out......"
The Yellow Emperor asked "Who is the personal guard tonight?"
Xiao Xiao walked out and the Yellow Emperor
said "Take Zhuan Xu back now."
Xiao Xiao picked up Zhuan Xu who held onto Xiao Yao's hand and refused to let go "I don't want any other woman, I just want you........"
The Yellow Emperor raised his palm and struck Zhuan Xu unconscious with one blow to the neck.
The Yellow Emperor stared at Xiao Xiao "You guard him personally tonight. If anyone else hears a word he says tonight, kill that person immediately."
"Yes!" Xiao Xiao picked up Zhuan Xu and vaulted on a winged ride and was gone in the clouds.


this one too, his intention to make Xiaoyao as his Empress , do you think CX just said out of the drunk habits or he meant it?

CX hates Ying Xue because she stole XY's Empress position.   In Chapter 34, he completely ignored YX because she embarassed XY in front of the guests in the water lily tea party.  

Poor YX.  She had married a ruthless man.

Ah Nian is different from YX.  The former spent her childhood with CX so she actually knew CX more about YX.  And, CX spoilt her too because he knew that Ah Nian loved him for who he was, not for his position unlike YX and other women in his life.

I think that she is always in his heart so he meant it.  Plus when a person is drunk he/she tends to have less inhibitions. Thus he was speaking out what's in his heart.

CX has always loved XY.  She promised to marry him so that they would remain together for the rest of their lives when they were both little.  If you watch the trailer, the little children made their vow:
