Most historical dramas featured Changan of Tang Dynasty if not that of Qin so it's refreshing to see Louyang,a place of great significance to different dynasties. Am awed not only by the unfolding of the story but also of how the ancient culture,traditions and society of the Wu zhou dynasty was presented clearly and visually pleasing thus giving us additional knowledge on what life was on those times. Ancient Chinese Civilization is indeed superb.
So far the three main leads characters are engaging but once again Huan Xuan proves his Versatility, can't take my eyes away from the screen,you can feel his struggles even when he shows facial expressions only. The pacing is great there is no dull moments in this drama. Bai Lang and Gao bing zhu brings out the laughter to balance the otherwise seriousness of a scene and it's cute. Hoping for a happy ending on the love story of Gao for Huang Xuan's characters in costume dramas were broken hearted. This deserves awards. Great job!!!. Looking forward for more historical dramas as great as this.
