Introduction to the series and background information from 1st episode for new viewers.

Introduction:

Legend has it that Lord Ming(🐉) is an ancient behemoth Kun. It roams the world above the clouds and has the power to destroy the world. The human cult Qiyuan Sect reveres Lord Ming and brings calamity to humanity. The major Sects led by the Luo Mansion search everywhere for Lord Ming,  wishing to vanquish it. Lord Ming,  having absorbed a vast amount of dark energy,  is about to lose control. 

Many Civilians who believe in the Qiyuan Sect are Petrified. A great catastrophe is imminent upon the world. 

(In Yujie Hub,  guardians of the six realm territory of the Hengdao Sect, an elder of the sect gives order to an unknown person called, Huan) it's about time Huan,  seal away Qi's memories and send her to the mortal realm. The hope of saving all beings in the future is now entrusted to her. 

(Somewhere else a pink whale, KUN rises from the water and transforms into a lady, Qi(Yu Shuxin) , she starts performing spells when she sees an obscured person at a distance, she calls out to him and addresses him as her master) 

Master I know it is you. (Panicked as he doesn't respond, she calls out to him) Master, stop hiding, come out.

 (She continues to converse with the figure of a person whose features are hidden in a haze, standing at a distance) Has Commander Ying agreed to take us to the Human World? Master what's wrong with you? You're acting so strange today.

 (The hidden person's voice addresses the lady, Qi) Qi, your sword originates from thoughts. Do you know your mission behind that sword? 

(Qi answers) My mission behind the sword?  Does carrying a sword mean I must kill people? But I don't want to kill anyone. 

(The hidden person puts Qi under some spell, in a frightened voice Qi questions that person)
Master,  What do you want to do?
Master, What are you going to do? 

Some more information about  Yue JinZhao (xu kai) and Yue Qi (Yu Shuxin) from the 1st episode is mentioned  below. 

Two teenagers,  Yue JinZhao (xu kai) and Yue Qi (Yu Shuxin) have lost their memories three years ago.  Yue JinZhao has been taking care of Yue Qi since then. Yue Qi often dreams of a faceless master who may have answers to her past, but the master may just be a figment of Yue Qi's imagination and not a real person. 

Yue JinZhao considers himself to be Yue Qi's elder brother(termed used more as respect rather than actual relationship).  Yue Qi refuses to acknowledge him as older to her because both of them woke up three years ago in Wuyun village together and both didn't remember what happened before (both are amnesic). Both decided to celebrate the day they woke up as their shared birthday. Yue Qi seems obsessed with fish figures. Yue Qi and Yue JinZhao seem to share a mindlink. 

Both these people are trying to uncover their original identities.Yue JinZhao can foresee people and events with his left eye although he experiences intense pain in his left eye after having a vision. He had drawn a  figure of a person in red clothes from his vision who would help them to discover their identities. (This person turns out to be a lady cross dressing as a man, Luo Zhaoyan,  the head of the Lou family) 

With the help of Yue Qi's dream of a faceless master and Yue JinZhao's visions these two people want to discover their real identities. 

Curse of Luo family

Luo Family lives in Western Region on a paradise like oasis created in the middle of the desert. The Oasis of Luo family has existed for 200 years. Rehai which is one of the nine springs, provides endless life force. To retain water from desert, the ancestors of Luo family sacrificed Maiming to restrain Rehai for their use. So the territory of Luo family would have constant supply of water while Maiming could not leave Luo mansion anymore. Only after Maiming's death(many years ago) he realised that his soul was bound to the Rehai.

According to Maiming, Luo Zhayoyan and Luo Maiming are twins born just an quarter of an hour apart but actually Maiming's soul is hundreds of year old.There is a curse of heaven, Luo family's twins are fated to die young. Luo Zhayoyan's vitality is continuously diminishing, like being devouvered by something(Maiming) .  It's like a curse. Early demise of Luo family twins is related to this curse. (Ep8) Luo Maiming's father, Luo Wangping had made a pact with a wolf demon,  Xian Qingto give half of his cultivation to him to save his daughter. In return Luo Wangping promises the wolf-demon that he would return in 3 months and allow himself to be devouvered by hin. However before Luo Wangping can fulfil his promise he dies. So half of  Xian Qing's cultivation is in Luo Zhayoyan giving her vitality and strenght but it cannot prolong her life. Luo Zhayoyan like other twins of Luo family is destined to die young unless they can find a way to break the family curse and release the Rehai. As per the curse, half of Zhayoyan's lifespan is stolen by Luo Maiming who is sapping her energy and life force to exist. 

Luo Maiming wants to breaks the curse so that he can be free from the bondage if existing only in Luo Mansion. As per him Luo family should not have restrained Rehai. If Rehai. As master of Luo family Zhayanyan can take care of the people but cannot take care of their Metempsychosis.

When Yue Qi entered the barrier of Luo territory, both Rehai and key ring made an unusual reaction. Yue Qi is familiar with Ning springs and would be helpful to break the Luo family curse and release the Rehai that should move with natural law and not restrained in one place.

I have watched only two episodes as of now... I can explain after I have watched it... In the meantime please ask this question in general comment section, someone who is watching the episodes as they release would surely answer your question sooner. 

Shennong Nine Spring

Legends say when the great ancient god Shennong was born, the Nine Springs were formed. He further spent millennia to dredge them into their current state, they were cultivated for countless years by him to gradually become the most important sources of life in the world. 

The Nine Springs  of Shennong are spiritual springs that connects to one another. They are the key points of the Spiritual Veins of the world, and the life source of all creatures in the Six Realms. (Six Realms  as per the series: Human Realm - Deity Realm - Demon Realm - Ghost Realm - Monster Realm - Immortal Realm)

Shennong believes that all lives are equal and all springs should be shared among all regardless of their race, strength, good or evil.

The three races that occupied the lands, the Beasts, the Gods, and the Humans, grew to become selfish and began to engage in endless and ever-escalating conflicts, leading to a period of great turmoil. Since the Nine Springs are essential to nourishing living beings, Shennong expended his divine powers to strengthen the Springs' protective wards to prevent them from being damaged in the three races' battles and afflicting all life, and took powerful worldly artifacts to create nine bracelets to serve as the keys to the Nine Springs. 

The War of the Three Races concluded in the Beasts' defeat at the hands of the allied forces of Humans and Gods. and Gods. Chiyou led the Beasts into the Demon Realm, resulting in the separation of the three Realms of Men, Gods, and Demons. The Nine Springs were also scattered around different realms in this conflict, transforming in appearance and power according to their surrounding environments. After the great war, Shennong and the Nine Founts' keys disappeared.

 
Each spring has a guardian and a sentinel. Sentinels are materialized functions of the springs. They maintains the springs to function, and worl with the guardian to protect the spring. They are not replaced and guard the springs eternally. Guardians are chosen to protect the springs, they owns the seal (Key Rings) created by Shennong to control the spiritual power of the springs to defend against intruders. The successor is chosen by the guardian. If a guardian wasn't chosen by the time the last one dies, the key ring will fall into slumber until the next one appear.

Shennong's Nine Springs (神農九泉) were also divided among the Three Races — 

1. The deities own Zhaodan Spring (照膽泉) and Chunzi Spring (春滋泉), 

2. The demons owns Yanbo Spring (炎波泉), 

3. The much more vibrant human world have Hansui Spring (寒髓泉), Rehai Spring (熱海泉), Wugou Spring (無垢泉), Wuhun Spring (霧魂泉), Duzhang Spring (毒瘴泉) and Longtan Spring (龍潭泉).
