I am looking for some character-driven family and/or Slice-of-Life Asian dramas (preferably Korean or Chinese) and would love some recommendations. When it comes to Chinese drama, I would prefer a historical setting however I am flexible with Korean dramas. I also just finished watching Blossoms in Adversity which I absolutely enjoyed and looking for something similar.

For reference, here are some dramas I’ve enjoyed:

Chinese:
Story of Ming Lan
Sword of Brocade
Love Like the Galaxy
Story of Yanxi Palace (Absolutely enjoy harem dramas/multiple wives)
Empresses in the Palace

Korean:
Jewel in the Palace (mentor/found family themes count)
Dong Yi
Under the Queen’s Umbrella

Some dramas I didn’t quite enjoy include:
Destined (felt cheap, dialogue and monologues were awkward)
Princess Weiyoung (got repetitive fast, though I loved the scheming characters)

Any suggestions based on these would be much appreciated! Thanks!

There are a few Korean ones I would like to recommend, but it will take a while to remember all of them. The 2 I can remember off the top of my head are "My Unfamiliar Family" and "Dear My Friends." Read the synopsis of these 2 dramas, and if you like them, private message/DM me, and I can recommend others.

P.S.: I'm sorry but I don't watch Historical dramas.

Maybe (or at least from my understanding):

Chinese:

Happy Ending:

Are You The One

Fortune Writer

Story of Kunning Palace

Ambiguous Ending:

I Will Never Let You Go

Scent of Time

The Double (happy ending on special episode)

Bad Ending:

Till The End of The Moon

And Koreans:

Knight Flower

Mr. Queen

The Princess' Man (I may be wrong about this one?)
