Hey, I'm currently rewatching Wednesday 3:30 PM and I just realized again how much I love the friends to lovers trope!

So could you please recommend me some Dramas like that?  But there has to be 1 very importnat dynamic in the drama:

The male lead and female lead shouldn't be in love from the beginning. One big issue I have with this trope is that at least 1 of them has a crush on the other for a very long time and I don't want that!

Key points:

  • They should be really good friends (Childhood friends, best friends etc)
  • There should be no love between them at all, both of them should only see the other person as a friend (Maybe a little crush in highschool is fine, like in "My First First Love" But after that they should only be Platonic friends
  • Should be obvious, but: No love at first sight, no One Night Stand in the first couple of episodes (I would prefer if there wasn't one at all, but I could deal with it)
  • Bonus: I prefer when the ML realizes his feelings First but I am fine with whatever, as long as it hits the criteria.
  • Bonus 2: I like Slowburn romances :>

My favorites: Wednesday 3:30 PM, My First First Love, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

Any country is welcome!

Fight For My Way would be a drama that fits what you're looking for.

Childhood friends, same friend group, live across from one another with their friends.

One night stand: none

Love at first sight: none

ML realizes his feelings first: Kind of? The FL did have a crush on him in the past, but she had given up on it long before the drama started and never told him. The drama starts with her in a relationship with someone, it takes him a while to realize his feelings but you can see from his actions that he is falling.

Slowburn: Yes, very slow but not excruciatingly so.

The two things that come to mind about friends to lovers are In Time with You and Friend Zone (movie) but it does not fit key point #2 since even though everyone have dating partners (right person, wrong time 🎤), they also have unrequited love towards the other persons. But they're very good, must-see.

For the others that may fit, iirc:

Pinocchio - though technically they are sort of family, but no blood relations
