Like the FL meets her first real romance meanwhile her parent's romance plays out. Like, perhaps rather than a bunch of friends starting their career and love life we get to see how the previous generation and how the new generation "suffered" as they dealed with life, career, love, etc.... 

I think Reply 1988 plays out similarly to what you are looking for as it focuses on the trials and tribulations of multiple families in a neighborhood. It is also is really cute on showing the romances of the parents and siblings and how everybody finds a fitting job.
