Photo Upload Rules + Report Thread

If you come across any photo that breaks these rules, please comment below with the link to the photo or the title page where it appears.

BEST PRACTICES

These guidelines apply when uploading new images and when reviewing existing gallery content. The goal is to keep galleries relevant to the title, reasonably organized, and focused on official promotional and production material.

  • Source Every New Upload: Every newly uploaded image should include a source link in the Description field. The link should identify where that particular image was obtained.

  • Source Images Individually: Do not source one image and write that the following 10, 20, or more uploads are from the same source. Since galleries are displayed as a grid and images may not open in upload order, the source must be added to each individual image. If several images come from the same official post or page, the same source link may be used for each of them.

  • Use Reliable Sources: Whenever possible, use the original source, such as the broadcaster, production company, streaming platform, distributor, official title account, agency, or another official promotional source.

  • Avoid Duplicate Uploads: Check the existing gallery before uploading. Do not upload the same image again simply because it has been resized, slightly cropped, brightened, recolored, or otherwise minimally altered.

  • Choose the Best Version: When several copies of the same image are available, upload the clearest, highest-quality, and most complete version. Meaningfully different official versions, such as posters with different designs or official localized posters, may coexist.

  • Keep the Gallery Title-Focused: An image should have a clear connection to the drama, movie, or show itself. The fact that members of the cast appear together does not automatically make an image relevant to the title.

REPORTING EXISTING GALLERY IMAGES

The current sourcing requirements primarily apply to new uploads. Older gallery images should not automatically be reported for deletion simply because they do not contain a source.

  • Do Not Report an Image Solely Because It Is Unsourced: Many images were uploaded before source links became required. If an existing image is clearly an official poster, promotional still, character still, or other permitted material, it may remain even without a source.

  • Help Source Older Images When Possible: If you locate the original or an official source for an existing unsourced image, adding the source in a comment under the image is encouraged instead of reporting the image for deletion.

  • Report Unsourced Images When Their Legitimacy Is Questionable: An unsourced image may still be reported when there is a genuine reason to believe it is unofficial, fan-made, prohibited under these guidelines, or otherwise unsuitable for the gallery.

  • Do Not Report the First Gallery Image for Routine Cleanup: The first image is retained as part of the original title-submission record and may contain information connected to the initial request, including the submitter, submission date, and sources used during approval. Do not report it solely because it is duplicated elsewhere in the gallery, has a lower-quality replacement, or does not contain a source.

  • Schedules: 

    • Official airing or promotional schedules, in either the native language or English.

  • Official Events:

    • Images from official filming, opening, or closing ceremonies.

  • Script Readings: 

    • Official photos released from the drama's or film's script reading sessions.

  • Posters:

    • Official promotional posters for the title and character-specific posters.

    • Official promotional posters for the title in other languages.

  • Relationship Charts: 

    • Officially released character or relationship charts.

  • Stills & Covers:

    • Official stills from the production. 

    • Episode covers (multiple per episode allowed if officially released). 

    • Behind-the-scenes photos (use discretion—upload only notable or unique images, not full sets from every angle).

  • Drama-Specific Photoshoots: 

    • Official photoshoots related directly to the production (e.g., character-focused or promotional sessions).

  • Adaptation Source (Original Work):

    • One image of the original novel, webtoon, or source material is allowed as the first image in the album. No additional images of the source material are permitted.

  • Older Titles: 

    • Slightly lower resolution is acceptable for titles released before 2010, provided the image is still reasonably clear

  • Fan Content:

    • No fan art. No edited images with fan logos, watermarks, stamps, or overlays.

  • Irrelevant Photoshoots:

    • Magazine spreads or unrelated promotional photoshoots, even if featuring cast members, are not permitted unless officially tied to the series.

  • Event Posters:

    • Posters for fan meets, press conferences, or any non-broadcast events are not allowed.

  • Stats & Rankings:

    • No images of viewing stats, streaming performance charts, or ranking achievements—even if officially released.

  • Text or Edits:

    • No images with subtitles, text, emojis, brush marks, filters, or decorative edits.

  • Spoilers and Screenshots:

    • Screenshots from the show are not allowed unless officially released (e.g., by the broadcaster or production team).

  • Quality Issues:

    • No blurry, pixelated, or low-quality images—exceptions are made for vintage titles (e.g., pre-1960s) where source material is limited.

  • Inappropriate Content:

    • No nudity, graphic violence, or gore. 

    • Exception: Official versions of the main poster for the title with such content may be uploaded if marked with an NSFW tag.

  • Unrelated Events:

    • No photos from award shows, red carpet appearances, variety shows, or other events where the cast participated but which are not directly related to the title.
