Serving on the Special Duties Unit (SDU) for many years, "devil" instructor Jin Hon Tou is seen as a hero in the hearts of his subordinates. His style is strict and serious, and he has high expectations of his subordinates, especially the two new SDU members, You Hok Lai and Yau Chun Hin. However, when he's off-duty, Hon Tou is actually a very caring big brother. Hon Tou thinks of Chong Cheuk Yun as his best partner at work and a good brother, but to his surprise, his girlfriend Ding Wai Wai falls in love with the optimistic Cheuk Yun and wants to break up with him. To maintain the brotherhood, Cheuk Yun asked his colleague So Man Keung to pretend to be his girlfriend, which began a mess in the relationship. Meanwhile, the police were informed that the king of thieves, To Tin Yue, was planning a large-scale robbery of the treasury. Hon Tou and OCTB inspector Chong Cheuk Wah jointly set up an operation to capture Tin Yue. Cheuk Wah is Cheuk Yun's elder sister and has a snobby personality. She only cares about her work day and night because she cannot forget the pain of her boyfriend's murder. As Hon Tou gets to know Cheuk Wah, he slowly realizes that he and Cheuk Wah are actually similar people, and his feelings start growing... Edit Translation

Reviews
I can't reccomend this drama enough. Though I rate it 8.5/10 as it did have its boring moments (usually some of the slice of life segments)but once you give it a go you'll find every episode is quite rewarding.
They also ended it on a good note which I think was executed in a cheezy manner but Im VERY sure a lot of the audience would love it. Every thing was directed, scripted and executed properly so you dont have to worry about not being able to take it seriously. This is a very good family drama but also very good for action lovers with great fights, well choreographed action sequences and camera angles. One thing I found quite funny and sometimes annoying (but not reaaally annoying) was the way they mess with the camera sometimes during some action scenes or a case. They zoom in and out really fast and shake the camera around alot. Its a good camera techinique for action flicks but there sometimes where I just think they went overboard with it to the point of it being funny and I think to myself *Well seems the scumbag camera guy is at it again*
Anyways watch this drama whenever you have the time to. Its a good mix of family, romance and action. Everything else you need to know about it is in the description.
What a start to an amazing franchise!
The start of it all, 飞虎 (Tiger Cubs). A bit of a shorter review here because it is a short drama after all. However before the review, I want to stress that this was the first 飞虎 and thus, there were a lot of things TVB had to improve on in the later stages (which they didn’t).Plot:
Funny story: I almost quit the series at Episode 4 due to a certain female character who was so annoying (those who watched the show will probably know who I am talking about). However I persevered and finished the show. I will be honest, it was not the greatest plot especially with the unrealistic ending of 展 sir jumping into the sea with Kenneth Ma and coming out virtually unscathed. Let’s not even mention the horrendous storyline for all the main female characters.
A good point about this show though was the depth in the story of the cases (something I feel is essential in a show about crime). It was also quite enjoyable to watch towards the ending, especially Vincent Wong's tragic death.
Acting:
Joe Ma as usual pulled off a great performance. Him Law and Vincent Wong both did extraordinarily well to my surprise as well. Again we do not mention the female characters here. Props to Kenneth Ma too for acting as a villain and not a doctor for once. He should act as a villain more often, especially after his 使徒行者3 performance.
Songs:
身边的依据 made me in the mood whenever it played.
Rewatch:
The series felt long and draggy so probably not but I suggest skipping to the very last 2 episodes and rewatching that instead.
I heard the reviews for 飞虎2 were terrible so I haven’t watched it yet. So the next review will go into shaw brothers 飞虎 series.
Thanks for reading
