1. Sisyphus: The Myth
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
Essentially my first Kdrama, it had an interesting time-travel story that developed well, although I was a little disappointed in how it ended. It introduced me to Cho Seung Woo, Park Shin Hye, and Sung Dong Il.

2. Witch's Romance
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
My second Kdrama. Although the ending felt a little forced, this series was pretty good. (Park Seo Joon, amirite?) Basically a remake of the Taiwanese series My Queen, I include this one because compared to the original it had a tighter story, better production values, much better supporting cast, and PSJ. Masterful in its use of unsubtle product placement. Also introduced me to Jung Yeon Joo.

3. My Queen
Taiwanese Drama - 2009, 21 episodes
This is an older series, with poor production values, miserable supporting cast, and I never quite took to the lead actor (who didn't have as much finesse as PSJ, and who does, really?). It's on the list because Cheryl Yang does a phenomenal job in the lead role. If the Korean remake had an actress of this caliber across from PSJ, it would have been a much better series.

4. Stranger
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Got into this series because of Bae Doo Na and Cho Seung Woo. It is a gripping, thrilling police procedural.

5. Stranger Season 2
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Second season, not quite as good as the first but still pretty good.

6. Avengers Social Club
Korean Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
Ra Mi Ran is both hilarious and heartfelt as a struggling single mom who teams up with other moms to avenge themselves against those who have wronged them. Especially laughed when she shook hands with the candidate and the landlady, with gloves covered in fish guts.

7. She Makes My Heart Flutter
Korean Drama - 2022, 5 episodes
A quirky, indie web series that's kind of like 8 short episodes of fun!

8. IS - Otoko Demo Onna Demo Nai Sei
Japanese Drama - 2011, 10 episodes
A surprisingly well-presented and interesting presentation on the issues of people born intersex (IS) or genderless, and how they cope in family and society while growing up.
