Healing dramas - therapeutic/catharsis content.
Dear All. This is my private, ongoing "healing drama" list*. I've tried to honour more or less popular dramas that gave me a "therapeutic" feeling. It's either the literal theme of therapy/healing or the healing that comes from the storyline and development of the character. It might be also a typical "hero's journey" - finding yourself, feeling the meaning, getting into mojo or healing old wounds.
Enjoy and feel free to leave recommendations!
Which drama helped you to heal? Be a better person?
*no particular order as I'm trying to dig them from my memories (which drama/characters stayed with me during past years? what kind of life lessons did I take?)

1. Kill Me, Heal Me
Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
I've felt the character's inner struggle. It helped me to connect to my personal traumas.
-
2. My Mister
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
One show that made me seriously think about life and personal choices. And asking the basic existential question: "Am I a good human being?"

3. Reply 1988
Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
This could be the cinematic "found family" you're looking for. Highly therapeutic feeling.

4. It's Okay to Not Be Okay
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I didn't expect to get anything from this drama. I've learned about mentality, respect, importance of human connections. And hope.

5. Kairos
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
Time-travelling themes usually don't get into my heart/mind. But not this time. Lesson of the importance of timing, love, family. And all the things we're taking for granted.

6. Lost

"Strangers - healers". Finding soul-mate. Importance of letting go and making space for found hope.

Haven't finished yet... but it seems like a gem. Taking a slow approach to this one.

Surprisingly deep, emotional story with a light approach to understanding our mentality.
