- I'm gonna miss this one
- this left me wanting more closure, like I explained above..
- ep 20 had a different feel to it than the rest of the drama.. uchh I really wish now that they made more episodes ?

- I liked how even the at times "bad" characters, had layers and motivations for doing what they did and in the end all is forgiven

final thoughts:

- it's actually not a bad ending. although kyoko died, she got to spend the rest of her life with shuji and he and others brought happiness into her life. maybe that's enough.

- this is such a nice family drama!

- you're thrown right into the story, if I didn't read the premise I wouldn't have known the male lead to be a gangster from the start of things, it didn't really introduce you to characters like what usually happens in an ep 1.. ep 1 to me felt like a later episode, but it is only 2 eps long so maybe for the best that they didn't spend time world building?

- mr. yellow shoes is in this

- why should I care about this story?

- it has nice music (classical and 'a love so beautiful')

- things were happening in ep 1 and I just didn't care about it.. I wanted to, but they didn't set up the story in any way that you would end up caring about the characters, I feel like an onlooker

- at the end of ep 2 I started getting more interested, but then it ended

- the story in itself is not bad, but just felt incomplete and I couldn't immerse myself in it..

THOUGHTS WHILE WATCHING:

- this is my 2nd kdrama remake with this actress

- jdramas have a way of capturing your attention from the start

- the ml's lines in ep 1 did feel a bit like motivational quotes slapped together, but hey, it's takeru satou saying them so.. hehe!

- some parts made me laugh haha

- reina is such a pick me and sml is a sleeze

- I was into it, but I read reviews again at ep 5 and begun to doubt my life choices lol

- I watched edits again while on ep 2, so it spoiled stuff and also I heard they only get married after 2025...

- her friend group = sisterhood

- what's the psychology behind reina becoming the way she is??

- I've seen some clips of the kdrama and it looks more over the top, this one has a more realistic feel even if it's still fantasy (the kdrama does however seem to cover more of the details)

- some of the music was a choice

- it gets darker after episode 8 (a bit unhinged).. and the villains are insane!

- like someone else pointed out, this actress should work on her crying scenes, but otherwise she does a good job

- thanks to the writers for giving us 20 mins of happy ending! but why'd they wait till 2025 to get married?! in the kdrama they already have babies by then!

- the main couple and fl's friends are the highlight of the drama, they bring light to it

• I must say, the first part of ep 10 was pretty dark and then it gets all light all of a sudden

• this drama is cute, the second couple have captivated me more

- I started this the day after it started airing

- I watched episode 10 & 11 on kiss kh because mkvdrama takes time to update the episodes

- main couple marry at episode 9 (they're more wholesome and sweet)

- second couple marry at episode 10 (they're more angsty)

- both the main and second couple marry first and then fall in love

- on the 28th feb (sat) and 1st march (sun) I skipped watching so on the 3nd march I had eps 16-23 to watch (we started getting more fillers it seems)

- I watched from ep 17 on the 3rd march

- I stayed on ep 18 for a couple of about a week

- because I edited this drama and skipped through the episodes for scenes, while still on ep 18/19, I felt like I had already watched the drama

- 3rd june: it's been over three months since I started this, I wanna finally finish it!

- I don't wanaa rush to the end..

- I feel for xu hongqi in a way.. she didn't bother me so much actually

- I see myself in fei ting

- ye feng acts like a 13 year old..

- you have to be in the right mood for this show

- after finishing this I bumped up my rating from 8.5 to 10 because it really is a good story!

- I cried many a time while watching this T_T <3

- some familiar faces

- poong ki and hae jun's mom are oddly cute together, but they're probably doomed (and I guess they are built on false pretenses on his part)

- some scenes are parodying other kdramas

- it's easy to binge

- I find haeri annoying so far and don't really care that much about the 2nd couple (as of eo 18)

- hae joon is so cute in ep 24! and in general a green flag

- from ep 30 i want to try not to play hay day while watching.. I don't during the MC's scenes

- the rich people think they can buy off the poor

- together as a found family the actors have chemistry, but apart from the main couple and elderly couple sometimes, the other couples don't really have that much chemistry

- as of ep 63 I wish woo jae and hae ri would not get back together, woo jae needs to grow a spine.. (I rolled my eyes when i saw they get back together again), but whatever! at least they're happy!

- all that plot buildup for the mom to confess it all to bak ha in ep 64.

- overall, the best part of this drama is the main couple, I wish they had more scenes

- main couple get married off screen in the end!

- something that could've been written better, is the way they built up the whole mystery plot all for it to be resolved in 2 minutes!.. but I guess you've gotta think about it in terms of how it all affects the relationships between the characters..

• I found myself giggling more at the main couple's early scenes before they got together

- the melody of the theme song reminds me of pop goes my heart

- I agree with the part of prettycareye's review where they wished they had more time to develop their relationship before it happened, it feels too early for them to be in love.. the other review made some good points too..

- on ep 8 I was thinking of rating this about a 7

- the show didn't establish that they were that in love with each other early on, so I didn't really care if they get together or not (ep 8) it feels more like a destiny sort of thing (like they try to stay apart but have to be together), but also realistic.. anyways these are just some thoughts..

- the siblings and mom reunion was touching

- this is one of those dramas where I start to care about the romance in the last half of episode 12!

- others mentioned the ml actor's acting, but it didn't bother me much

it was kinda cheesy all the way through, but especially after ep 11 or 12.. I still thought some of it was kinda cute, otherwise I would've dropped it (probably)

so I forgot whether I watched episode 14 or dropped it midway last year.. I'll just assume that I did finish it..

- I only watched 2 episodes in 2026 (I wasn't glued to my screen)

- it felt a little less cheesy..

- I guess this drama isn't so very bad.. I'll give it a 7 instead of 6.5, even though the 2 year time jump in ep 16 happened randomly and unexplained sort of.. the main couple is the best thing in this drama, everything else is of little consequence

- they had to go and add in a silly misunderstanding in the last episode to make the runtime 1 hour long..

- I like the pre-2017 colour-grading a lot better

- I think this has potential to be a drama I'm invested in

- first kiss in ep 9

- I wasn't fully paying attention all the time, especially for the side characters (for eps 1-10 at least) but certain scenes did get me off my phone and I decided to just focus, not like I was always on my phone though

- it'll probably drag from episode 12 on out..

- by episode 15 I'm paying half of my attention to it.. I like the couple's fluffy moments and his sister's plot but otherwise I'm wondering how they made it 18 eps long.. I feel like they are going to pass on his "bad karma" to everyone else..after ep 15 i considered dropping it and didn't watch for a few days.. but i'm anyways so close to the end

- okay I'm not one to fast-forward but I did 2x speed the random sml scenes and maybe some other from ep 16 on

- the whole climax ended in a rather anti-climatic way..

- once jin sang grew up a bit, him and soo kyeong actually made an oddly cute couple together, I didn't fast forward their scenes (I was expecting them to go their separate ways)

- the main couple feel like a real couple, with real kiss scenes, it's a shame they picked a script that wasn't fully engaging..
