Empress Navier: 

•  Navier Ellie Trovi was an empress perfect in every way -- intelligent, courageous, and socially adept. She was kind to her subjects and devoted to her husband. Navier was perfectly content to live the rest of her days as the wise empress of the Eastern Empire. That is, until her husband brought home a mistress and demanded a divorce. “I accept this divorce… And I request an approval of my remarriage.” 

Emperor Sovieshu: 

• After meeting Rashta, a runaway slave who reminded him of Navier in their youth, Sovieshu made her his concubine and wanted to make her child his heir. He became more irrational as the series went on, frequently blaming Navier for showing any potential sign of disliking Rashta, and would proceed to flaunt his concubine around and allow her to do as she pleased.

Lady Rashta: 

• Rashta appears to be naive, questioning much of the things around her and talking in third person in a way that seemingly makes her 'cute'. 
• In reality, this innocence of Rashta is just an act. She is a manipulative and deceitful woman who enjoys luxuries and takes pleasure in praise. The only time she is genuinely affectionate is where her children or Ergi Claude are concerned.

Emperor Heinrey: 

• Heinrey is initially painted as an unreliable figure with a tendency for breaking hearts and a cruel strike. Despite the rumors, his only romantic desire was to court Navier, and he only appears to be 'cruel' to those who wrong others first. He is quite clever and persuasive with his words, able to discern scenarios, and does not hold back in calling out someone, showing he also is unafraid of speaking up and is assertive.
