1. Phantom Lawyer
Korean Drama - 2026, 16 episodes
This was a fun watch and really hit the spot for me when it comes to my love of supernatural dramas. It was highly amusing to see Yoo Yeon Seok play various characters and stretch his acting ability. Of course, there were occasional logic flaws that were hard to ignore, but that didn't hinder my enjoyment of this drama. The drama is episodic/semi episodic, where there is a new case every other episode. While it can be predictable at times, I don't think the individual cases were that easy to predict. The focus of this drama is more on comedy and mystery and less on romance, so do not watch solely for romance. Overall, I was thoroughly entertained.

2. Love on the Turquoise Land
Chinese Drama - 2025, 32 episodes
It started off amazing. The first episode was fantastic and had plenty of creepy moments. The first few episodes were intriguing. Then it somehow becomes an incredibly slow paced and draggy drama. It makes it difficult to continue further. This should have been 16-20 episodes instead. Somehow I managed to push through and get to the end. Was it worth it? Probably not, but it is a treasure trove for MDL Watch Challenge prompts (including some rare ones). The action is top tier. I loved the cast and I thought the chemistry was decent. There's not much romance considering the situation they are in. It doesn't really fit in with the storyline. Rumor has it a bunch of the monster stuff got censored out. The writers also had the audacity to add an amnesia plotline for the last two episodes. Anyway, it doesn't hurt to check this drama out, but absolutely do not feel guilty about dropping it.

3. Generation to Generation
Chinese Drama - 2026, 37 episodes
I can say I liked the plot, but I feel like they covered it superficially. It was like they were trying to cover all the plot points without going into too much depth of the characters. Sometimes they just opted to explain things with dialogue and I think that was due to time constraints. On the other hand, there were parts that I felt were draggy and a few that were repetitive. ML and FL make one of those couples that are hot one minute and then cold the next. It was like they were fighting as enemies and getting back together constantly. It got a tad bit annoying.
I liked that FL is smart and a badass. I love that ML is a cheeky little schemer. He can also be dangerously possessive too. Sometimes the inconsistency doesn't make sense. He will be a green flag and then suddenly switch to being a red flag. He is mostly a red flag btw, but he gets a pass for being cheeky and cute. I also think I've seen way too many of these dramas because I predicted who the mysterious villain was early on. Anyways, it's got a decent plot, but the storytelling and execution is a bit weak. -
4. If Wishes Could Kill
Korean Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
I genuinely liked it. I was looking for a proper horror drama and this delivered. It has jump scares, creepy moments, and lots of blood/gore. I'd say it relies more on gore than it does spooks, but that's okay. The story isn't too complicated. It is fast paced, which I appreciate (and probably why I liked it). This drama is by no means perfect. You have characters doing dumb things, which is expected. It's a quick horror drama binge watch. I was pleasantly surprised that not too many people died in this. I wish I had not seen that after credit scene. If it's removed, it would've been better in my books.

5. Hell University
Filipino Drama - 2026, 18 episodes
This was incredibly cringey. It involves FL and her friends stumbling upon what seems to be an abandoned university. After being invited inside, they discover they can't leave and are forced to enroll. What makes it Hell? The school basically becomes The Purge at night where students can kill each other. The acting is very cringey at times. It became more tolerable for me around episode 10 when FL stumbles upon a stray cat and adopts it. That's also when the romance takes off. It was SUPER corny, but I enjoyed it for the very amusing cringey dialogue. Actually, the plot had potential, but it wasn't executed properly. The whole drama comes off as corny. It sort of lands in so bad its good territory. Anyway, at least the ending OST was a banger.

6. Spooky in Love
Korean Drama - 2026, 12 episodes
I went in with super low expectations so I was pleasantly surprised that this was a decent watch. I love supernatural dramas and this hit the spot for me. It was easily bingeable. The romance is okay. I wouldn't say it's one of the best. I enjoyed the ghost stories. It was refreshing to see Park Eun Bin in a chaebol heiress role. ML did a decent job. As for the cons, I felt like the director was an unreliable narrator. They try to throw you off, but it could've been done better. I'm not sure what people were expecting from the romance, but not much can be done if main couple can't touch each other. I was okay with, but I can see how this would annoy people. I personally thought they were a cute couple.

11. No Tail to Tell
Korean Drama - 2026, 12 episodes
It was mid to begin with. It's basically a drama that you'd have on for background noise. There was no real chemistry between the leads. The romance didn't move me either. FL was basically ordering ML around, even telling him to date her. Then suddenly, poof! They were in love. I was disappointed that there was no real romantic build up. FL was not a likable character either. I actually found the soccer stuff more interesting. This drama probably would've benefited more if it aired after the World Cup with all of the soccer hype. There were many subplots going on, but no clear direction on where this drama wanted to go. The villains didn't really have any consequences for their actions. Well they did, but it was brushed over like it wasn't really a major part of the plot. In conclusion, this drama should be renamed to No Tale to Tell because the storytelling was a joke.

13. The WONDERfools
Korean Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
This was surprisingly hilarious and stupid fun. Think X-men, but as clowns. Everything is mostly unserious. This group of superheroes is a hot mess, but somehow still manages to save the day. I enjoyed the silly comedy. It wasn't too slapsticky. They referenced quite a few things. For example, the boy who cried wolf. I was not expecting there to be some character growth when it came to these fools.

14. Archives: The Nanyang Mystery
Chinese Drama - 2026, 33 episodes
The cast? Amazing. The outfits? Fabulous. The action and adventure? Entertaining. The random bits of clown comedy in between? Hilarious. I very much enjoyed this drama. It's an Action/Adventure Sci-Fi with a nice dose of bromance. I loved the friendship between the two ML's and their mentor. There was so much agony and heartbreak toward the end because of it. I survived. I honestly haven't felt that kind of agony in awhile. The villains and monsters themselves were lowkey kind of lame. I'd give the plot a 6, but everything else was enjoyable. The drama does have its slow moments. There were some points where I knocked out. However, it's great watch party material. I would highly recommend if you like tomb raider type action/adventure stories.

15. One Piece Season 2: Into the Grand Line
Japanese Drama - 2026, 8 episodes
I loved the first half. The second half not so much. I wasn't a fan of the last episode with Wapol. He was one of the lamest villains. I think I liked season 1 better, but this season is still great. I loved the dynamic of the group in the first half. Chopper is freaking adorable, but his voice needs to change when he changes form. His squeaky voice freaks me out.
