All time comfort drama. So sweet, has the male lead from Start-up. Strong female lead and complex characters despite college setting!

Absolute favorite BL couple. The second season is also a favorite but a bit more spice. This season is sweet and my go-to comfort BL.

Park Seo-joon (박서준) is one of my fave actors. He makes a cameo in Parasite and just started filming a Marvel movie. You'll see him a lot on this list. Tough soft boy, strong female lead. Is centered slightly on boxing so some violence within the plot. More mature characters and problems.

I don't want to describe this drama because I don't want to give anything away. Some fantasy, strong female lead, loveable male, great supporting characters. Watch this. It's what you want.

BL- many soft boys. Very sweet and pure. Realistic challenges but still a sweet love story. There is supposed to be a second season!

More mature story, strong female lead, complex problems, cute kid, the king of soft boys, love triangle, some violence. One of my faves.

Another comfort drama. Park Bo-young, the female lead is all over this list, my watch list and my to-watch list because she's just so versatile and cute and sweet and I want to be her in my next life. Strong female lead, rich and smart soft-boy lead with a love triangle!

More mature drama. One of my favorites- does include some spice, but nothing close to American prime time so very tame. Noona (older female) love story and the cutest kid ever. Also love the male lead Jung Hae-in (정해인) is the ultimate soft boy actor and I love his acting. 

Loved this drama! The female lead is the same as Strong Girl and male lead is from Shopping King. Strong female lead, tough boy who (maybe?) turns soft.

Noona (older woman) romance, more mature, slight spice. Jung Hae-in is precious in this drama and Son Ye-jin makes her character so relatable imo.

Lots of fantasy, male and female lead are both excellent. Strong female, strong male with soft-spot. Great chemistry, super interesting storyline. Good love triangle (kind of). 

Sweet BL- Small "fantasy element", read the show description and you'll understand!

Strong female lead, small "fantasy" element. Def made me cry.

Strong female lead, super interesting plot, loveable male lead, love triangle.

Strong female lead, appears tough but is soft boy male lead. Good plot with an interesting back story. Great chemistry (many people think they are/were dating in real life). 

Strong female lead, the male lead is toxic to begin but give it a chance he redeems himself. A lot of fantasy. 

Soft boy, coplex female lead, sweet love story. "Fantasy" element, many tears with this drama.

Strong female lead, soft boy. Older drama but lacks a lot of the problematic tropes. Interesting parallel to Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. 

Soft boy to the max. Very cute and sweet.

Same male lead as Korean Odyssee- strong female lead.

Some violence. Strong female lead, tough soft boy. Seo Yea-ji  is probably my favorite female lead because she excels at portraying strong women with vulnerabilities.

Slight spoiler- I was left with a bittersweet feeling at the end of this drama. BUT it is still excellent and has an interesting mix of modern and historical setting.

Plot centers on the strength of the 3 female leads. Supportive soft boy romance actually supports the rest of the show.

BL- Interesting universe,  sweet male leads. Some level of "fantasy" to the story.

Shorter drama, very sweet, strong female lead.

Sweet story, tough male lead with soft-boy response to female lead only. Very 13 turning 30 vibes- but make it Korea.

Historical- didn't actually finish because I heard the ending wasn't what I wanted. Still recommend. It is what hooked me into Kdramas initially. Beautify cinematography, amazing story, compelling love triangle, strong female lead.

Female lead is strong imo but in an understated way. Some violence. Great supporting actors. Complex problems (although the plot is quite fantastical within the action genre). 

Strong female lead, tough soft-boy. Very cute. May be some violence (it's been a while...)

Strong female lead, more mature storyline. 

Ji Chang-wook (지창욱) is another favorite actor of mine. He usually plays a tough soft boy and prides himself in doing most of his own stunts so there are often fight scenes in his dramas. Good chemistry in this drama. Def fast-forwarded through some stuff.

War setting so violent and she's a doctor. Good chemistry (they got married in real life but unfortunately divorced shortly after).  Tough soft-boy and strong female lead.
