My comfort show. This show is a show were it grew on me the after I already finished it. I haven't finished season 2 yet and I doubt I ever will because I don't want my thoughts on this show to change. I just miss them like Uehara's smile has me giggling and idc what anyone says I am a defender for life, and yk what I don't like Daichi. Glad I could finally get that off my chest because if everyone is unhappy about her ending up with Uehara the only other option was ISSEI  BUT EVERYONES LIKE DAICHI THIS DAICHI THAAT BUT WHAT ABOUT ISSEI! This show is just one I always thing about. I didn't have much thoughts while watching it or right after finishing it but I realized I started to compare all the shows I watched to it. I started to think about them more and more and couldn't help myself from re-watching it. I just love this show with my whole heart and it's so perfect for what it is. Nao and Uehara are my Roman Empire and I love them with every single bone in my body.

  • Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo Season 2

    2. Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo Season 2

This show... It's very hard to explain why I love it as much as I do. First season, unberable it was so hard to watch and I had to look away every second. But when we got to the last 2 episodes it was just love. I was never even planning on watching the second season I just wanted to finish the show because it had been on hold for a while and I only had a few epsiodes left. But when I finished I couldn't help myself from watching the second season right away and I don't regret it one bit. It was just sos bad that I loved it. Usually I'd say I hate when the female lead chases the male lead but this show changed my mind. It's just that when he gave her the attention she wanted or showed her a bit of compasion the literal bare minimum my heart beat would excelerate. It's because he's so cold and so mean to her that when he does do the smallest things it seems so much bigger and so much more of a big deal. I think the actors where so perfect for their roles and I've watched multiple versions of this show and this is the best one. There's no other Naoki and Kotoko like them. The only thing I hate is the age gap between the actors because once you figure it out some of the magic get ruined BUT DON'T SEARCH IT UP AND WATCH IT BEFORE YOU FIGURE OUT. Also the creme de la creme for this show in my opinion was Yuki and Konomi. Yes they had like 5 seconds of screen time but I LIVEEE for those 5 seconds. I'm just a sucker for the youth (as a fellow youth).

  • Wait, My Youth

    Chinese Drama - 2019, 24 episodes

Something about this show ticks of boxes no other show can do. I watched it on youtube where the quality was booty and the sound was background music from toy unboxings back in 2016  but I enjoyed every second of it. I'm not going to lie side charcters mid, plot mid, but the main couple, THE MAIN COUPLE. It was just my type of show the show that gave me everything I needed and I ate it up. It's just been such a long time since a show met all my requirements and finding that show after a while made me over the moon. It was just a cringey youth cdrama, but in my heart its so much more. I cried when it was over because I wouldn't be able to see that ML, that exact same character in a show again. Was it perfect.. no, but it's just everything I need in a show. The actors chemistry was just absurd and props the the casting directors because they would never be able to find people who could play the charcters better than Zhao Yi Qin and Li Jia Qi. Like I go back and watch videos of this show all the time justs I could hear Zhao Yi Qin's voice.

  • Coffee Prince

What's my favorite trope you ask? GENDER BENDERS. GENDER FRIKEN BENDERS.  ITS JUST SO ANGSTY AND WHO DOESN'T LOVE ANGST AND THIS SHOW DID IT'S ROLE TO WELL. NOW I KNOW IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE BUT IT WAS DEF FOR ME. THIS SHOW WAS AHEAD OF ITS TIME BEST 2000'S KDRAMA IMO.  LIKE JUST EVERYTHING ABOUT IT MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAHH MWAH MWAHHHHHHH AND THE SIDE CHARCTERS KIM JUNG WOOK LONG HAIR SAY LESS AND I THINK ABOUT THAT ONE SCENE WHERE THEY RANCOMLY STARTED DANCING EVERY SINGLE DAY I LOVE HOW ALL THE CHARACTERS WARMED UP TO EACHOTHER AND IT WAS LIKE A FOUND FAMILY AND THE VUBES INSIDE OF A COFFEES SHOP HOW COULD IT GET ANY MORE PERFECT ONLY SHOW YOULL EVER CATCH ME REWATCHHING

  • Mr. Queen

    5. Mr. Queen

    Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes

Funniest show I've ever watched I fell in love with the actors in this show just how that dude fell off the belcony. Like gender bender angst sign me uppppp. Ending was such BS so I forget about it so I can remember the perfect couple formed from this show and it's peak comedy

  • Boys over Flowers

    6. Boys over Flowers

    Korean Drama - 2009, 25 episodes

    9.5

Just all the versions together make me feel so happy. Are any of the versions good? Not really, but do I eat them all up? Most definitely.  Like it's just the cliche that I alway eat up like ik people are tired of the rich boy poor girl,  popular boy x unpopular girl, school set drama but I'm not I am not one of those people because I am ready to watch 100 more of these. It's just that no matter how many shows I watch with this trope I don't think any show can make this trope work like boys over flowers. They just know what makes me giggle and kick my feet. I know like let's not normalize the bullying trope but sometimes I really just want a lil violence. I feel like other shows are now scared to hmm add the bullying trope which is understandable and I get why people don't like it but me I will be clearing the plate.

It took some time for me to add this to my list maybe because it's a reality show but everytime it think of it see the notes I've left behind in this show I start to burst out laughing then cry the next second and I've finished the show a while ago but I still think of it often and have all the same emotions I did when I first finished I felt like I was there with the hosts talking about the guests and even though it's real people the casting was so perfect everyone was just meant to be like yes some people didn't talk much but I feel like that just shows how real and raw it is not everyone is going to be friends but the friendships that did get made where just perfect this show has some of the most unhinged scenes ever ehem Dinosaur like I think back on some moments of this show show and it brings me so much happiness and even the host are the best thing ever they all had so much chemistry and they were so funny and real I found myself just agreeing with everything they said and at first I was in awe that they were even allowed to say some of the stuff they did on camera but they where just so funny this should be labelled as a comedy and I wish I knew more people who watched this because it has my heart like everytime I write something about it I just don't know how to stop myself and thats how this short sentence got to be a paragraph long
