Taiwanese dramas based on Japanese manga is a curious phenomenon that began with "Meteor Garden" (2001). It's interesting to see how one drama and one woman (Angie Chai) began the long trend of "idol dramas." Also, some of the manga have only received Taiwanese adaptation(s) and none in their native Japan.
