Drama Challenge 2022

I've always kept to my philosophy of watching only the dramas on release. I like it and still do. It's been hard for me to marathon dramas for years so watching dramas that are coming out are a lot easier for me. But last year I stopped to analyze that there were many old dramas that I would like to watch and I never had the commitment to watch them just because I didn't have the necessary time.

I created this list with the aim of watching other dramas that have already been released and giving up some dramas that are in release. So I made some "judicious choices" from the vast list of dramas I'd like to watch and set priorities for this year.

What were the criteria? I focused on old Korean dramas that were classics in the history of the industry. Specifically, dramas released between the 90s to 2010. I made this choice because I would like to understand more about the process of creating Korean dramas from the beginning of Hallyu to what it is today. All this started when I binged Sandglass and that made the passion for old production awaken in me. Also, to expand my catalog, I chose some chinese dramas. For those who don't know me, I have great difficulties watching c-drama for “n” reasons. So I decided that I would watch between 4/5 Chinese dramas this year. In addition to 2 Japanese dramas. So I want to learn to get used to watching dramas from other Asian countries and next year to see some from Taiwan, Thailand and others.

Well, I already explained my own challenge so... what dramas did I choose? There were 14 Korean dramas, 4 Chinese and 2 Japanese. 20 dramas already finished that I chose to watch this year. This does not exclude the fact that I continue to watch dramas in release, but now in a lower amount than the standard I always watch.

I DID NOT COMPLETE IT.  WILL REMOVE SOME TITLES TO WATCH IN 2023.
