Dramas that have a special place in my heart
These dramas are ones that have a special place in my heart (BUT ARE NOT MY FAVORITES). They are far from perfect and unfortunately, that is why they are not in my favorites list.
They are mostly for nostalgia or touched an extra special place in me. Some are also kind of a guilty pleasure ;))

1. The Queen's Classroom
Korean Drama - 2013, 16 episodes
Perhaps it's because of nostalgia... this drama is my first kdrama ever... and it got me hooked! It was about middle schoolers, which I was at the time I watched it, and it tried to teach some lessons to its audience. I also loved the cast.

2. Moorim School
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
Mainly nostalgia tbh... This drama was also one of the drama that got me into watching kdramas. It had immense potential though, but ended up being so lackluster and kinda bad.. If they gave more good and clear background and plot progression/journey, then this drama could have turned out good...This drama made me fall in love with Lee Hyun Woo. He looks especially good with his silver hair in the first half of this drama! I also loved the bromance, but I really wish there was a lot more of it. It got ruined by the love triangle...

3. To Be Continued
Korean Drama - 2015, 12 episodes
Classic time travel plot but with Kim Sae Ron and a boy group (Astro). Again, nostalgia lol. It also introduced me to Astro (although I don't really listen to them). It wasn't amazing, but it was okay. I decently enjoyed it and had a fun ride.

4. Missing 9
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Ugh, still to this day, this drama has a hold on me. I'm kinda frustrated with it... The writers ruined its potential... I remember being so intrigued by the drama and enjoying it a lot! But after about halfway through, it started to go downhill. Mostly, again nostalgia. But also I really loved that first half of the drama...

5. Mr. Sunshine
Korean Drama - 2018, 24 episodes
Honestly, I love the cast, characters, character relationships and chemistry, ost, and cinematography for this drama so much!! Dong Mae and Hui Seong have a special place in my heart. I adore them so much! Also, Yoo Yeon Seok as Dong Mae is just absolutely amazing! I can't describe how much I love him and his acting in the role!! Probably one of my favs ever!! For the writing for this drama, some of it could have been better, but overall I appreciate it, the art, and symbolism is portraying and expressing the difficult times of korea and its people while it was under japanese rule and when there were war and rebellions and struggle.

6. Hotel del Luna
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
-
7. Love Playlist Season 4
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Generally, it's an okay simple webdrama, definitely the best out of all the seasons. I mainly love it for Park Ha Neul and Seo Jimin! There romance development is top teir!! I absolutely loved it so much! I just wish they could have shown more of their relationship and maybe had another season... (I know Dear M exists but I don't think I'll ever watch it because their relationship seems a bit different from Love Playlist.)

8. He Is Psychometric
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
An underappreciated drama!
-
9. My Country: The New Age
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Don't really like the drama that much as a whole, but still like some aspects to it. I mostly loved Nam Sun Ho! I honestly wanted the drama centered around him lol.. loved some of the ost too
-
10. Our Beloved Summer
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
The drama has its issues but the VIBES! Idk how to describe it.. It's like a chill and breezy summer vibes but also wintery vibes (maybe because it aired during winter time?). I enjoy the chaotic nature between the main leads lol. I enjoyed seeing them bicker and go from hating to loving each other
-
11. My Perfect Stranger
Korean Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
Not a mindblowing time travel story, but one I truly enjoyed a lot. It's not perfect but it has a special place in my heart lol. I had fun seeing Jin Ki Joo portray Baek Yoon Young in this drama, and it made me fall in love with her again! The romance between the leads was kinda awkward and random but I still kinda liked it

12. Twinkling Watermelon
Korean Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
chungchan is the couple that'll particularly hold a special place in my heart. Their relationship is just so cute and wholesome and I absolutely need a drama just about the two of them because honestly most of the other stuff in the drama was a big mess and made me feel more negative about the drama as a whole...
-
13. The Kidnapping Day
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
-
14. Love All Play
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
Had potential; could have been better. I love main leads' romance. Also love second couple. I would've loved to see more of them playing badminton, being on a team, competing, and bickering lol...
-
15. Tomorrow with You
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
-
16. My Man Is Cupid
Korean Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
Mainly love it for the main leads... idk why but I'm intrigued by their relationship, how they fight with fate, and how they find their way towards each other
-
17. Homemade Love Story
Korean Drama - 2020, 100 episodes
Typical weekend family drama...
loved the main lead couple and how they stay committed, honest, and trusting with each other. Also loved most of the other couples (besides the one with the stalker). Loved the portrayal of divorce and mental health as well as someone trying to change for the better.

18. Branding in Seongsu
Korean Drama - 2024, 24 episodes
this drama was pretty messy and kinda not that well written tbh, but I still enjoyed it! I loved the leads and had a lot of fun watching the drama! If it had been written better, it could have become one of my favs..
-
19. Flex X Cop
Korean Drama - 2024, 16 episodes
sometimes funny and dramatic but also ridiculous at times, and at the end of the day, it's about a crew who work together to solve mysteries. hope i enjoy s2 as well!
-
20. King the Land
Korean Drama - 2023, 16 episodes
don't judge me... I've got my issues with it and it is your basic boring classic romcom and I actually don't really like yoona's acting (like ever, even in this drama), but idk it still grabbed me in some way.. it's just a simple romcom with some business politics/rich family drama (badly done but ok) and I appreciate it for that. it's just honestly pretty cute. I also really love a couple of the osts and will definitely keep listening to them and feel nostalgic when listening to them lol! I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone ever though.. it just wasn't that good...

21. Cinderella at 2 AM
Korean Drama - 2024, 10 episodes
a lot of the comedy scenes hit for me and it was pretty unserious and fun at times! could have been written a bit better and it is pretty tropey, but it was a decent watch
-
22. No Gain, No Love
Korean Drama - 2024, 12 episodes
so unserious and fun tbh lol... some things could have been better and it did get a bit boring in the second half and they butchered the ending, but it was still enjoyable overall!
