The reason he's on my list is Ki Dong Chan, his character in God's Gift: 14 Days, whom he played so perfectly and who'll always remain my favorite lead in k-drama. I remember thinking "This right here is my kind of guy", and it's apparently John McClane type of smartass/tough guy with a million flaws but with a heart of gold. Things you learn... lol.

What also struck me (and it's the first time I saw something like that in k-drama) is how he never underestimated the female lead or treated her like she's anything less than his equal.  There's this one scene where the kickass leading lady is covered in blood after she actually fought the bad guy, and he's not giving her a lecture or acting like a knight in shining armor, but he simply says "Lady, you look so awesome right now" with admiration in his eyes. That was it for me. At the same time I wanted to kick someone's ass to impress this guy, marry him and have 10 of his children. It was all thanks to his amazing performance, and his sexy voice is a bonus.

Oh SJS... I liked this guy the minute I saw him because he's so unbelieveably beautiful, tall and handsome, and kinda has this great, manly presence about him. Yep, here I am being superficial and I'm not sorry :P

I never laughed as much watching a k-drama like I did with Master's Sun,  nevermind the funny (yet clingy ugh) female lead, great side characters and wacky story, it was his show and he stole every single scene. His flamboyant crazy character had me crying with laughter.  And then with Oh My Venus the SJS strikes again, even though it's no match to Master's Sun, he was great in it and I realized that his funny roles will always be my favorite, no matter how great he is in delivering a powerful emotional performance (Cain and Abel, Always).

  • Ma Dong Seok

    South Korean

This guy is in 2 of my favorite movies, Train to Busan and The Outlaws, as well as Squad 38, easily one of the best dramas ever in my opinion. Good actor with a lot of charm, and I feel like he's finally getting the recognition he deserves, Say what you want about his acting or looks, but one thing's for sure, you ain't getting back up when Ma Dong Seok bitch-slaps you!

  • Ji Chang Wook

    South Korean

Fantastic actor with an expressive and beautiful face, probably the most beautiful one I've seen in Dramaland. I'm not particulary impressed with Healer and Fabricated City is just a decent movie, but he did a great job nonetheless.  K2 was a nope for me also, so I'm on a quest to find something that he's in and that's actually good, so I can feast my eyes on this guy and enjoy a good story as well.

  • Jo Jung Suk

First saw him in Jealousy Incarnate and he gave it his all. I was laughing, crying and going through every emotion with him, that's how good he brought his character to life. What amazes me is how comedy comes natural to this guy, oh and his dance moves are awesome :)
