A Very Queer List

The love really shines through in this one. Not just between the romantic couples, but between friends,  community, and from the crew making this. SO much heart and soul was poured into this show and it is so evident.

This story was so beatiful and carried so well by the actors - artsy and weird and I'm obsessed.

Man I really liked this - Pei Su's actor was phenomenal, the mysteries were interesting and everything got wrapped pu neatly and coherently. The show even looked gorgeous, with great lighting and set design, what can't it do??

I am absolutely going to read the books now

It's unfair that there isn't more than 16 minutes of these two. The acting was top notch, characters cute and I'm definitely re-watching this on a rainy day.

I just want my boy to be okay, please. The queernes of this show is more subtext than text, but it is there, they are so co-dependent, the lines blur. Suho is Sieun's first love and his best friend, and someone he cannot live without.

The boys? Pretty. The sex? Kinky. The story? Somehow still good and emotional and funny?? Like what doesn't this show have. They are even cousins!

I have adopted Bua, he is my son now. And Baabin, and Fourmod, and Chian. My stupid beloved sons who love each other so very much.

Gayest show where they don't even kiss, top marks, well done boys

This show explores queerness and gender from an outside point of view, and everything is treated in a very kind and beautiful way.

Insane toxic snake yaoi with a hint of polycule - everyone in this story is unhinged and there is just something addictive about it that hooks you.

This show is on this list three times and the second season just kept on improving from the previous installments. The acting is excellent, especially Shiro, they can just kill you with the tiniest facial expressions.

Tragic and raw and beautiful - Krailert is going to live in my heart for a long long time. I am so very glad this story was told.

Duang With You really makes you love all the characters and relationships, the pacing is excellent, the writing is good, extremely lovable show!

I enjoyed this a lot LOT more the second time around, the first 2/3rds are fantastic, and after you know what to expect, the rest of it becomes easier to follow too. And the characters, ah, I fell in love with most of them this time. And the way the main couple and the buildup of their relationship happens, is just beautiful.

This was a show where two guys had found someone that really matched their freak - it was just somehting they had trouble communicating to each other.  I think these two could only ever be happy with each other

Impeccable acting, this show was so quiet and comforting, I really love it

They were like a car crash you couldn't look away from - incredible feat of storytelling to believably turn this ship around

Monday-Thursday and Friday-Sunday go together and I adore them both. The actors were both excellent, and the emotions carried through, very well done.

Plot was good, and what was especially great was the character arc for Pin, it was so tragic in the best possible way, you saw the crash coming but there was no way to get off Very well written and acted!

Truly Japan at its best; gritty, toxic, shot beautifully with gorgeous lighting, interesting characters that had clear personalities despite the short runtime AND an amazing opening song! What more can you ask for

I cannot find a single negative thing to say about this drama, the characters were so charming, te story was nice - only reason it's not topping the list is because it didn't make me go insane

This show had some of my favourite characters out of this whole list, namely Charn and his gay bastard soul. Also my favourite lesbian best friends, beautiful, iconic, please give me a spinnoff <3

Perfect high school love story, very well acted, the friendgroup was amazing and the romance especially cute!

I have a stupidly long review for this show, but I truly enjoyed it, ugly parts and all - the character growth was just so lovely to see. (Second season was a bit of a nothingburger, more of the same without the great growth, but still worth watching once)

This feels so queer in a realistic way, I adore this show - Heart and Li Ming are my favourite part of the show

Easily the sexiest show here, it's got ass, tits, *feelings* and a bonkers story, what's there not to love

Do NOT be fooled by the outward appearance of this show, it WILL make you cry. It is so raw and real, especially Elijah is such an incredible actor when it comes to emotions. 

What a show! The relationship of the main couple really sell this for me - even though it was technically a bromance, there was SO MUCH flirting. I just wish we could have had the crossdressing from the book too, wonderful gender fuckery there 

Extremely beautiful and unique short series

This was superbly executed and acted story, the visuals were fantastic and the story was unique as can be.

I really enjoyed their chemistry and sex scenes were very sexy

Honestly it's crazy how good this is despite how bonkers the whole setup was - I think it was the chemistry between all the relationships and characters that carried this show

Similar vibes with Our Youth, but the plot of this one worked better. Actors were both good and they had great chemistry from the start.

Gorgeous, GORGEOUS show, with great chemistry. Taiwanese shows really know how to do it.

This rating is for the whole series, the second season Mood Indigo was objectively the best in my opinion, but I am SO glad the team behind were allowed enough time to tell the story they wanted to, which in BLs feels rare.

Spanning 2 shows, a movie and 2 specials, it's a great story about accepting yourself and allowing yourself to love and be loved.

I love how we got to see the couple evolve and navigate their relationship through life over several decades, very unique in that way!

I liked this even more than the series, these two are really fools in love. Still made me hungry watching, I want to try some of the recipes! (the caramel apples??)

This list needed more lesbians and I love these women so dearly! And the season 2 is more of the same great thing, both very comforting and sweet.

Ughhhh these boys hurt me

Still the most ICONIC kiss - one of the easier shows to recommend to someone new to Thai BL

Pretty men, gorgeous music and some very beautiful shots - Zi Ang's actor was also very good! I like the plot as well, it was very different to most things that I watch.

Their previous show didn't manage campture my attention, but this was seriously a sweet and fun show with great chemistry!

Gorgeous looking show with great acting - would love to have had a bit more at the end though. Very real feeling, though.

This story was slow as molasses, which bothered me at th ebeginning, but once the characters begun to open up to each other, and to us as viewers, I was totally hooked and enjoyed the pacing. Rating would have been higher if not for the open, slightly unsatisfactory ending, but if we get a second season or any conclusion, it will go up.

There aren't enough shows about poly relationships, and this was a good one, very cute!

The movie looked fantastic, and there were some great individual scenes, but the whole was a bit lackluster unfortunately. Bit of choking was a pleasant surprise, the chemistry of the leads was great.

Short and sweet, very beautifully shot and with a realistic feel.

I love it when the story continues after "and they got together". That's the best part for me, so I loved this movie for that.

We love to see middle aged men be stupid and in love amidst all their other struggles! (Plus you get recipes and great cooking montages)

This was a huge surprise! I really enjoyed the chemistry between the pair and the writing (with exception to some dialogue lol) was solid as well.

This show was very sweet! The second season really built from the foundation they laid in S1, and he relationship felt very grounded. Highly enjoyed this!

Incredibly pretty show, enjoyed the characters a ton, but production issues lowered the rank a lot (distracting voice-over quality, pacing etc) - if this gets a second season and satisfying ending, the rating will go up!

Excellent friends-to-lovers story and one of the leads is exceptionally pretty!

Both characters were great and the story explored a lot of complex emotions - sadly it was a bit of surface level since the series was quite short.

Their chemistry was insane! My only gripe with this was how passive Armin ended up being in his own life and his own second chance? It was all driven by Tada. Still, good watching.

Understated, short and sweet vignette about normal people living their lives.

Beautifully shot show!

A short but beautiful little glimpse into the life of the main character, and the little joys and struggles she deals with as a trans woman.

It was a very typical Japanese BL - enjoyable but felt quite familiar.

I love how the main character had no idea he was in romantic comedy and then there is this baby himbo who has actual hearts in his eyes.

This is the first solely queer story I watched when I was a teen (the first I remember at least!) and so it is very special to me. Story is thin but sweet and feels quite real!

Very surface level show that didn't have the budget for it's ambitious story - but a cute couple and quick watch

This was good but to recommend it to others, I'd need to give some caveats and warnings since it's got some HEAVY themes and definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea - still enjoyed it though!

Listen.. I know the name is weird but it will surprise and hit you in the feels when you're not ready for it!
