Shanbao is an absolute queen ughhh the amount of slapping she does in the earlier episodes is crazyyy!! She is genuinely ruthless and it mirrors Jianglai's personality from the first episode.

Ling Buyi and Cheng Shaoshang are a beautiful couple and I love how Buyi just lets Shaoshang be herself, and doesn't hinder her (unless he knows she could get hurt). Ling Buyi's longing for Shaoshang is so heartfelt, and Wu Lei portrays it so well with his subtle twitching and slow blinking like ughhhhh I genuinely love this cdrama

i thought this was quite good. i loved the visuals, and the fight choreography is quite unique compared to other idol costume dramas. the cgi is well done too.

Ju Jingyi does quite well in roles like these, and she had good on-screen chemisty with Tian Jiarui!! i lovedddd Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi!!

Chen Duling is great as always, she really fits these mature roles!! I was immediately drawn to her everytime she was on screennn. Zeng Shunxi was pretty good too <3 I thought the love story between their characters was touching ;(

as an OG reader, I didn't know how they were going to adapt this since Gray was apeshit but they managed to completely ground this!! such good writing ughh i cried more over suho in this show, than i did for stephen in the manhwa
