2026 Completed Dramas & More (For the Watch!)

Glory was a great drama to finish first for the yea 2026.  hoping there is lots of glorious days to come this year!

One of the best modern romance C dramas I have ever seen.  Great pace and the two leads made and amazing lead couple in the drama.  

I Loved this Thai Drama.  It had family trauma and drama but not the usual evil to the core bad guys.  Just people making mistakes and learning from them.  This will definitely join my other rewatch often dramas.

Definitely best drama of they year and maybe the best Female Warrior story for a few years to come.  Great portrayal of a strong female lead and also some amazing female supporting characters.  

This had to be the best ever xuanhuan - xianxia I might ever have seen. The message and connection it had with what is happening in the world today, so powerful and clear.

This was a very well told drama series and I feel if I had read the book, I would have been satisfied with the adaptation. I just also feel very strongly able the events, traumas, and emotions of this story that it is not one i could revisit as a frequent rewatch and probably would hesitate to even consider rewatching because of the emotional toll. Still it was a great great story and handled so many elements better than many other dramas have.

The East Palace may be my favorite Kdrama of the year or at least my favorite supernatural kdrama of the year. I loved that it was eerie and haunting without gore thrown in. I was expected gore being as it was a Netflix show so i was happy it pulled it off without.

Some may feel differently about the story but I felt appreciation for all the resentments addressed being as I have seen so many palace dramas of all the wronged people but finally get to see a glimpse of the spiritual side of it. It's a fiction but it felt very legitimate.

Regardless I enjoyed the story. The acting was phenomenal on all levels. The music was good but i feel it would have had more songs in it to make it a great ost. Still i loved the music. the vibe was down-right haunting and I loved it the reveal like a well peeled fruit.

Amazing lead couple and phenomenal story. Lead couple looked perfect together and really fit the story. A great rewatch candidate.

Great love story and Imperial struggle. Loved Jeremy in this one also. A good rewatch drama for the future.

Great story for a strong female lead who proved over and over her dedication to peace, equality, and sacrifice for the people.

Would have been a 10 if it wasn't for the usage of AI. Really do not think it was needed so much in the drama as it was used but it shows where it will be taking form in dramas to come.

All things Mystic Nine I love for the mysticism, the fellowship, and the adventure. I liked this series because it was a bridge from this Mystic Nine of lore and legends to the modern relations and why they are what they are in the present time. Definitely feel one has to be a lover of all things Mystic Nine to appreciate this series for what it shares.

Loved this story and a great role for DingYX. He was absolutely handsome with an amazing supporting case. Ancy Deng was spectacular as the female lead. Great cast and I can see this as a quality rewatch drama.

Favorite OST song: Sunburn

When i started watching this drama I had no idea what it was about. I just saw it on Tencent and said why not. Then I realized by beloved Chen Kun was in it and I was kicking myself for not recognizing him from the start. No matter i recognized him a bit into first episode. Then I was all in. While I definitely was annoyed with Officer Pu it was because we are all use to the ML coming off strong in these Wuxias. I was also like how could Officer Pu be the lead male over my boy, Chen Kun. But I still rolled with it.

By the time I watched the closing credits roll on Ep 13, I felt so fulfilled with a sense of something I have not felt since watching old western movies. The seeking, the struggles, the failures, and goal. I felt it all the time and while i did see someone say others called this drama pretentious I thought to myself, how is a drama pretentious, that's something attributed to behavior. Then I realized those people probably never understood a good westerns point.

This drama did it. also what is even funnier is that i was talking about it a post when I even said it felt like watching The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. and sure enough it's related. just look up Remnants of Gold and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly together.

Might be well knows, but I think coming into the drama blind and realizing at the end the connection, made me feel even better having watched this great drama.
