Favourite Actors

There are many actors whom I like and enjoy, but for them to make the favourite list, there must be something about them that elevated their appeal in my eyes, a certain charisma and quality in their acting or person which captivated me. That is a rare thing, as the below are the only three actors - in more than 30 years - of movie and drama watching, that has made me love them so.

A holdover from the days when young and silly were not simply words but descriptors. A decent actor with charismatic appeal.
Lee Joon Gi

South Korean

Captivated by his ethereal beauty while he was young and gorgeous, and his competency as an actor was also impressive; not to mention all that growing up had turned him into the stunning man he is now. Still, beautiful visuals are dime-a-dozen in the KEnt world, and it was his acting prowess and voice that set him apart. An amazing and charismatic actor.
Takahashi Issey

A truly awe inspiring actor. His portrayal of Ono Masatsugu in the Japanese historical drama, 女城主直虎 (Onna Jyoshu Naotora, 2017), literally stole my breath away. I never knew so many facets of love could be communicated simply through a myriad of facial expressions and body movements. Each tic, wrinkle and crease on his face, in tandem with the tone and inflection of his hypnotising voice, worked seamlessly to bring a gamut of intentions and emotions to life. Utterly poignant, heart wrenching, bittersweet and sad. Magical.
Kim Jae Uck

South Korean

One of the few actors who appeal to me on a personal level. Knew of him from his Coffee Prince days, but it was not until The Guest and Voice S1 that he made it onto this list. I love Choi Yoon to bits, and Mo Tae Gu is a character I have a love/hate relationship with, and one I will readily admit to being one of the sexiest I have found any fictional character. Thoroughly enjoyed his voice and immersive performances.
