  • Judge vs. Judge

    1. Judge vs. Judge

    Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes

    7.0

    Side note:

Despite having a messy and inconsistent plot and also some unecessary characters. It was still interesting to see a legal drama focusing primarily on the work and daily perspectives of being and making assertive/wise decisions as a judge ( even though it wasn´t necessairely accurate ).

I enjoyed the last few episodes a lot. The romance wasn´t the focal point of the drama, which is why I wasn´t expecting much on that matter. I didn´t mind the main couple´s awkwardly cuteness at the end.

  • Jugglers

    2. Jugglers

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

    8.0

    Side note:

It´s a simple story that centers around the relationship between boss and assistant. This drama had a very simple plotline and didn´t bring anything new to the table (typical rom com)  but it was surprisingly enjoyable. I adored the main couple´s dynamics! Their relationship was so cute. ❤

Nam Chi Won became one of my top favourite male leads! Choi Daniel did an amazing job, I´m looking forward to watch his future upcoming projects.

Even though it wasn´t a masterpiece, "Jugglers" managed to be an awesome lighthearted drama that did justice to it´s genre and I enjoyed every second of it.

  • Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me

    3. Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me

    Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes

    5.5

    Side note:

Started off good, It had a mysterious fairytail-ish sort of vibe. I loved the beautiful scenery of that castle in Slovenia. Definitely made me wish to go there someday.

The plot seemed pretty solid and had a lot of potencial to be a remarkable drama with a little bit of everythig from romance to fantasy, historical (with the past lives concept). It was a shame that in the end the combination of these genres failed to keep the viewer interested in the story.

The characters´ past lives storyline felt a bit rushed, I wished they had extended it for a little while longer throughout the drama.

Everything was fine up until episode 10. From then on, the flow of the story stagnated completely. Many scenes felt useless and a waste of time. They were so unimported to the point that I had to fastforward most of it. And the worst part was that it filled almost an entire episode!

And to add more to this mess the drama wasn´t wrapped up nicely either! I´m not mad by it because it wasn´t a proper happy ending. I´m mad because it made no freaking sense whatsoever!

Hae Ra obviously didn´t feel comfortable living with" immortal Soo Ho" knowing that there would be a day they wouldn´t look like a couple anymore. But still, Soo Ho who had always been very protective of her thus far ingonored that fact completely.

In the end his selfishness overcame Hae Ra´s best interests. And once again, in their present lives, they were doomed to live a tragic and bitter love story! -_-

When I finished the final episode I thought of giving this a rating of 6.5 but after I realized that Hae Ra´s ex-boyfriend didn´t have any sort of closure. I was mad again and gave it 5.5 rating instead

The only thing that I adored about this drama besides the Slovenian scenery was the OST and the soundtracks that were used in some scenes.

I would NEVER recommend this drama to anyone let alone re-watch it.

  • Girls' Generation 1979

    4. Girls' Generation 1979

    Korean Drama - 2017, 8 episodes

    9.5

    Side note:

When I decided to watch this I didn´t have high expectations. But as I saw the first scene where the girls were having fun dancing and lipsyncing to Abba I instantly felt that this could be someting special. And it really was, this is a gem!

The pace was on point! There was never a dull moment.

I adored every character ( well except for Jung Hee´s  dad... He got me on my nerves).

I liked the two main couples dynamics. But to be honest I shipped Hye Joo & Young Choon way harder than Jung Hee and Dong Moon. It might be because Jung Hee was mean to Dong Moon far too many times even though he always cared deeply for her. It took a long time but he managed to get the girl.

After this I might consider to give a chance to the Reply series, since this drama centered around 1979. And  it was done beautifully! I admit that I kinda missed seeing a samsung phone being carried around.  xD

Also, the Daegu accent was daebak! It was refreshing to hear since most dramas take place in Seoul.

This might´ve been  a short ride but I guess that´s one of the reasons why this drama is so precious!

  • While You Were Sleeping

    5. While You Were Sleeping

    Korean Drama - 2017, 32 episodes

    6.0

    Side note:

Ok, I can´t believe that another amazing plot has gone to waste... I mean, this drama wasn´t at all bad but it could´ve been so much better!

I started watching while this was airing and then I stopped somewhere at episode 12 because it was boring in comparison with the other dramas that were also airing at the time.

So, like 3 months after this ended and with nothing better to watch I was finally able to complete this.

It´s not like I hated this drama or that it infuriated me, the problem about this is that I didn´t feel any emotion while watching it. I didn´t connected or felt attached to the characters. Everything was just "meh".

Now on the romance side, I don´t think Lee Jong Suk and Suzy had that sparkling chemestry. But they were alright... Their love story was just not that exciting ( at least for me).

But I must admit that above everything else Suzy seemed to have improved her acting, so props to that!
