Parking List
Here are shows I'm liking quite a bit, but I can't find the will to complete just yet.
These are usually dramas that I see quite a bit of potential in, but the plot or the genre doesn't quite match my current mood.

1. When a Snail Falls in Love
Chinese Drama - 2016, 21 episodes
It's definitely a slower drama, but the interesting cinematography keeps it from being boring. For once (especially for chinese dramas) there is no overacting at all. Even the police procedures look semi-realistic and the relationships between the characters are subdued. The one complaint I do have is that the plot isn't easy to follow...you need to pay attention and it can be tiring if one likes to binge-watching like I do. This made me take a break from the show at episode 12. I'll pick it up again though.

2. Watcher
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
I want to like this show, because I do recognise there is a lot to like...but The biggest issue I'm having is that it doesn't have any relatable sympathetic characters...they all act suspiciously and there is no 'straight man' the audience can identify with. I suppose Young Goon was supposed to be the one, but he's a little bit too an hothead to feel right for the role for me. Basically the most sympathetic character (and this is because he's also a source of some humor) is Tae Joo's bodyguard...the rest of the cast is doing a great job playing their characters in a compelling manner, but they are either not developed enough yet or downright unlikeable.

3. Reply 1988
Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes
This is the quintessential slow drama. I can see why everyone raves about it and I'm loving it as well.
It's just that it's too slow for now...I'm craving some actiong and crazy shenanigans...but I'm definitely going to complete this some day!WATCHED: 2/20

4. It's Okay, That's Love
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
I'm not finding the characters to be completely likeable...they are charming enough, but 5 episodes in and I can't yet decide if I root for them or not.
The story though is good and I'm looking forwards to the development...just it's not enough to keep me going right now. I want something zippier and with a faster pace.WATCHED: 5/16

5. When the Camellia Blooms
Korean Drama - 2019, 40 episodes
It is promising, but the first episode also felt very slow and sort of boring.
I want something more comedic and less slice-of-life right now and this doesn't seem to be cutting it.

6. My Fellow Citizens!
Korean Drama - 2019, 36 episodes
It's not bad. The comedy aspect is quite funny but also the more emotional moments manage to have quite an impact.
I really like most of the characters, villainess included, but the plot seems to progress quite slowly. It gets repetitive after a while which is why I do not really feel compelled to get back to watch the last 10 episodes.
Still, I do believe I'll be finishing it in the next couple months as I'm quite curious to see how the writers are going to complete the story.
