Song Jae Won is a South Korean singer, dancer and former member of TEMPEST (템페스트). He graduated from Cheongdam High School and is enrolled in the Performing Arts program at Shinhan University.

Before debuting, he spent nearly 6 years as a trainee at DSP Media and represented the company in the survival show "Under Nineteen", but was eliminated near the finals. After returning to his agency, he continued training and was a candidate to become part of MIRAE, however, he decided to leave the company before the final selection happened.

He then joined Yuehua Entertainment (위에화엔터테인먼트코리아) and made his debut in March 2022 (using the stage name Hwarang) as TEMPEST's main rapper, main dancer and composer with their first EP, “It's Me, It's We".

In October 2023, he went on hiatus as he had previously been injured during practice and had to undergo shoulder surgery. In March 2024, the agency announced that he was suspended from all TEMPEST activities after a video of him talking to a fan during an event went viral. In it, he seemed to confirm he had been visiting nightclubs and, as Yuehua received many complaints, he was excluded from promoting their 5th mini-album, "TEMPEST Voyage", and remained on an indefinite hiatus.

In August 2024, Yuehua announced that, after careful deliberation, his contract was terminated and he left the group. He enlisted for his mandatory military service on October 28, 2024, and was discharged on April 27, 2026.
