Patty Hou is a Taiwanese actress and TV hostess. She graduated from Jingwen High School (景文高中) and the University of Southern California. Hou began her career in 2001 as a reporter and news anchor, initially working for Taiwan Television (TTV). Her first role as an anchor was hosting the English news program "Power News English" on CTi News Channel. In 2004, she shifted focus to hosting variety shows and entered the entertainment industry.

Hou's father, Hou Shi Hong (侯世宏), is a television program producer, and her mother is actress Lin Yue Yun (林月雲). On April 17, 2011, she married Huang Bo Jun (黃柏俊), a man outside the entertainment industry, with whom she has two sons.
