In 2021, he appeared as a contestant in the singing survival show "Loud" but was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2022, he entered the singing competition "Stars Awakening", produced by South Korea's Channel A and Japan's ABEMA. He was part of team idol who were declared the winners and, as part of the Top-7, he was allowed to debut as a member of a boy group, initially called YOUTH STAR and later changed to N.SSIGN, under n.CH Entertainment (n.CH엔터테인먼트). They released a pre-debut mini-album, "Salty", and held some concerts in Japan and South Korea. Originally, the company planned it as a 2-year project group, but after several discussions, it was decided to make it a permanent one.
He officially debuted as the group's sub-vocalist and maknae in August 2023 with the album "Birth of Cosmo".
