He made his debut in June 2014 (under the stage name Ooon) as HALO's leader, main dancer and vocalist with their first single album, "38°C." Unfortunately, Histar Entertainment (하이스타 엔터테인먼트) faced financial issues that prevented the group from promoting more consistently. They went on hiatus in mid-2018 and disbanded in April 2019 when their contracts expired.
After participating in "Produce 101 Japan", he switched agencies and re-debuted in November 2020 (using his real name) as ORβIT's main dancer and lead vocalist with their first single album "00." The group is managed by Dream Passport (드림 패스포트).
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on February 21, 2022, and was discharged on August 20, 2023. While serving, the agency released his debut as a solo artist, the Japanese digital single "Paper Airplane".
