Before debuting, he was a trainee under Summerstar Media & Entertainment Group. He became part of the pre-debut group MIDSUMMER CUBS (盛夏崽崽) in mid-2019 and spent around one year busking. However, the group never debuted and quietly disbanded in early 2022.
Then, he was introduced in December 2022 through the Korean survival show "Boys Planet". He was elected by his fellow contestants as one of the 'Shiny Boys,' a distinction that subsequently led to his selection for the show's official posters. Despite this initial recognition, his trajectory on the program concluded with his elimination, finishing the competition in 30th place.
In October 2024, he entered JTBC's survival show "Project 7", where he finished in 1st place, earning a spot in the resulting project group. They are managed by Uncore (언코어), and their contract is expected to last for 3 years.
He made his debut in April 2025 with CLOSE YOUR EYES as the group's center with their first mini-album, "Eternalt".
