Park Kang Sung is a South Korean singer. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film from Chung-Ang University. He made his debut in 1982 when he won the MBC New Song Festival and had to watch fellow singers and classmates become stars in the mid-1980s before him. He released his 1st album until 1988 but the title song was not very successful. In 1990, he released his 2nd album and the song "Toy Soldiers" earned him some well-deserved praise and was constantly requested on the radio. Around 1992 he decided to focus on performing live and set a stage in Misa-ri, a village in Gyeonggi, that became hugely popular by 1995 as a steady fanbase will crowd the area waiting for their favorite artist's live performance. He is enjoying much more popularity now than at the beginning of his career as he appears on TV more often and holds several concerts each year. He is the father of singer and actor Park Hyun Joon, also known as RUE.
