Yen Chen Chin graduated from Kun Shan University with a master's degree in media arts. His younger sister is notable actress Vera Yen. He used to work for the Central Motion Picture Corporation, where he was responsible for post productions and digital restoration. In 2016, he founded D Craft Studio, and served as the visual effects supervisor for TV drama "A Touch of Green," which later won the Golden Bell Award for best art and design. He has gradually accumulated experience in special effects, and has created visual effects for films including "The Outsiders," "White Lies, Black Lies" and "Secrets in the Hot Spring." or Till We Meet Again, he won both Best Visual Effects of both the 58th Golden Horse Awards and the 24th Taipei Film Awards. In addition, he was also nominated for Best Visual Effects of the 24th Taipei Film Awards for Little Yellow Flower.
