As soon as she made her debut, she passed auditions to become a voice actress for the video game "Noël: La Neige", voicing the character Chisato Kadokura. This would not be her last performance as a voice actress, however, as she has gone on to voice iconic characters throughout anime and video game franchises. These include Hinata Hyuga from the "Naruto" franchise, Fate Testarossa from the "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha" franchise, Tsubasa Kazanari from "Symphogear", Moka Akashiya in the "Rosario + Vampire" franchise, Tsubomi Hanasaki (aka Cure Blossom) in "Heartcatch Precure!" ("Pretty Cure" franchise), Utau from the "Shugo Chara!" franchise, and Ann Takamaki in the *Persona* video game franchise.
For many of the anime and video games she provided her voice for, it was also common for her to provide her singing voice for character songs, as well as theme songs, as she performed as Chisato in Noël: La Neige", and Utau in "Shugo Chara!), with the latter character being written as an actual singer in the franchise; she also, for example, performed the opening and ending theme songs to "Rosario + Vampire" and "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha".
Mizuki would also provide her voice to dubbing localizations. This would include but was not limited to, television shows and movies from around the world. Some voices she provided the dub for would include Miranda Cosgrove's character Carly, from the Nickelodeon television series "iCarly", Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in Disney's Marvel Cinematic Universe, Emilia Harcourt in the DC extended universe, and the titular character of the international live-action adaptations of the Japanese manga "Playful Kiss".
In early July 2020, Mizuki announced on her blog that she had married someone from the industry. Sometime later, she would also write that they were expecting their first child, who would later be born in late March of 2021. In 2022, she reported that she had tested positive for COVID-19 but would recover and return to work.
Nana Mizuki is currently signed under StarCrew and King Record Co., Ltd.
