He participated in all major audition shows like "Superstar K" but was rejected in the preliminary rounds and his appearances never aired on TV. He worked as a trainee for 2 years after failing the entrance exams for all major music academies and later began working as the vocalist of the band ATTI and singing on the streets for another 2 years before going to his mandatory military service.
In mid-2021, he decided to participate in "Tomorrow's National Singer" and his high notes and stable vocals quickly impressed the audience and the judges and he finished in 2nd place. After the competition, he began touring with the other contestants who ended up in the Top-10.
He made his official debut in April 2022 with the single "Bittersweet". He has also performed several OSTs for dramas like "Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce) III", "Red Balloon", among others.
He is represented by Willbe Entertainment (윌비엔터테인먼트).
