Kim Hyun Woo, known professionally as gakoppa, is a South Korean Youtuber, singer and model. He graduated from Dongyang Technical High School. He was severely overweight in his school days but he challenged himself to lose weight and become fit. His father was against him becoming a singer so they stopped talking to each other for several years. He reconciled with his father just before he passed away and finally received his blessing to become a singer, which he did at the age of 40. In 2020, he appeared as a contestant on MBC's "People of Trot" and immediately became the center of attention with his flashy and energetic performances that almost always had him take off his shirt. He was eliminated in the 2nd round but, after the show, made his official debut with the single "Each Brother". In 2022, he entered the singing competition "Burning Trotman" but was eliminated in the 1st round.
