Born in Kumamoto Prefecture. A Japanese actor represented by ARI Production, the talent agency of controversial "new religious organization" Happy Science. He has played fictional versions of Happy Science head Okawa Ryuho in two movies based off Okawa's life, Immortal Hero and Twiceborn.

On top of his acting roles, Tanaka has also sung various theme, image, and insert songs for Happy Science movies. These include the theme song "The Road To Master" for 2019's Twiceborn and the image song "Jesus of the Beginning" for 2021's The Laws of the Universe: The Age of Elohim . He's also sung children's songs for Happy Science's religious preschool program Angel Seisha. Tanaka also did the voiceover work for the audio guide for the 2018 ARI Production documentary Heart to Heart.
