Before debuting, he released the OST "Over the Moon" for the 2019 JTBC drama "Beautiful World" (아름다운 세상) alongside Ha Eun, who will later become his groupmate in 4MEN.
In 2021, he decided to join 4MEN. The group had debuted in 1998 but underwent several lineup changes. The agency, MAJOR9 (메이저9) decided to revamp the trio and added him as part of the 4th generation alongside Joseph and Ha Eun, releasing the first mini-album, "The Eternal".
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on May 13, 2024 and is expected to be discharged on November 12, 2025.
