Although born in Seoul, South Korea, he spent most of his childhood and teenage years attending an international school in Hong Kong due to his father's work in the construction industry. For university, he chose to major in Drama at the University of Northampton in England. After graduating in 2016, he returned to South Korea for mandatory military service. After completing his military service, he took on modelling gigs and small acting roles, including roles as a reenactment actor in documentaries.
He made his film debut in "Gran Turismo" (2023).
