In April 1990, Goto retired from acting and moved into AV production management. She then went to the United States for language studies, returning to Japan in June 1991. With the funds earned from her AV career, she established her own office, Office Erie (オフィス Erie), at her home.
Goto later expanded into a telephone club business offering TV calls with actresses and women from her agency. In September 1991, she opened a tanning salon called Lahaina (ラハイナ) in Sangenjaya, Setagaya-ku, but sold her assets that same year to return to the U.S. for further language studies and to study nail art, a two-year period.
Upon her return to Japan in 1995, she opened a nail salon in Shibuya and entered the apparel industry, though both businesses faced financial difficulties and ultimately failed.
In addition to her business ventures, Goto performed as a stripper. On October 15, 1997, she was arrested by the Kawasaki Police Station in Kanagawa Prefecture for violating the Cannabis Control Law after a raid on her dressing room at the Kawasaki Rock-Za (川崎ロック座) during her final performance.
