He first appeared on TV as a contestant on survival show "Make Mate 1" (using the stage name Kai), where he was eliminated in episode 6. After the show, he returned to training and became part of a pre-debut group managed by E Entertainment (E엔터테인먼트). They released the single "Runnin" in September 2025 and two other singles in the following months.
He made his debut in March 2026 (now using the stage name Ruone) as AMBIO's vocalist and dancer with their first mini-album, "Boys Be Ambitious".
