In 1966, he co-founded the theater company "Rokugatsu Gekijo". After being part of the "Engeki Center 68" (a coalition organization of three theater companies: "Rokugatsu Gekijo," "Jiyu Gekijo," and "Hakken no Kai"), he joined the founding of "Kuroiro Tent Roku Hachi / Shichi Ichi" (later known as Gekidan Kuro Tent) in 1971.
He passed away on December 1, 2001, due to stomach cancer, at the age of 62.
