He appeared on TV as a contestant on "Cap-Teen" in 2020. One year later, he appeared in "Super Band 2" and during the program he was placed in a team with 3 other contestants, forming the band THE WHALES (더 웨일즈) with him as the vocalist and guitarist. They made their debut in January 2022 with the single also called "The Whales". However, he decided to leave the band only 3 months later due to difference of opinion on the music he wanted to pursue versus what the band wanted to pursue.
In 2023, he provided the OST "Shining" for the tVN drama "Twinkling Watermelon" (반짝이는 워터멜론).
