In May 2017, she made her gravure debut on the cover and in the lead feature of Weekly Young Magazine (Kodansha) issue 23. However, at that time, she wasn't seriously considering a career in the entertainment industry and was applying for jobs at publishers, hoping to become an editor due to her love of manga.
She made her television debut on the March 25, 2017 broadcast of Shizuoka Asahi TV's "Pinks."
Wachi has served as an official blogger for the magazine "VoCE" under the name "VOCest!".
