Zhang Jia Jia is a Chinese director, screenwriter and writer born in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China. He graduated from Nanjing University.

After graduating from university, Zhang Jia Jia worked as a magazine editor and TV director. In 2005, he published his first novel, "Almost a Hero". In 2011, he wrote a screenplay for a film for the first time and was nominated for the Best Adapted Screenplay at the 48th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards for his work on "The Blade".
