In August 1943, he made his stage debut as Yondaime Bando Tsurunosuke in "Kagami Shishi" at Osaka's Nakaza Theater. Throughout his career, he assumed various stage names, including Rokudaime Ichimura Takenojo in "Yoritomo's Death" at the Kabuki-za Theater in April 1964, and Godaime Nakamura Tomijuro in productions such as "Sakiguruma" and "Musume Dojoji" at the Kabuki-za Theater in September 1972.
He passed away on January 3, 2011, at the age of 81, due to rectal cancer at a hospital in Tokyo.
