She graduated from Tamagawa University in 2004 with a degree in Education and a first-class elementary teaching license. Before starting her career, she traveled across Asia, Africa, and South America while volunteering.
In 2007, she placed third in Miss Universe Japan. The following year, she served as an official supporter of the Fourth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IV) in Yokohama.
After leaving Horipro on January 1, 2013, she volunteered in areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake from March to May and subsequently planned to relocate to New York.
She married on June 23, 2013, and gave birth to a daughter on February 16, 2015.
