Shimizu Takeshi is a Japanese film art director from Kanagawa, Japan. He began his career as an art assistant on the special effects television drama "Ultraman 80" and later worked at Tokyo Disneyland. He joined Toho, where he initially focused on special effects art before making his debut as an art director with the 1991 film "Video Girl Ai." Since "Godzilla vs. Mothra" in 1992, he has been the chief designer for Toho’s special effects films.
