On September 25, 1986, Yamazaki passed the audition for "Yuyake Nyan Nyan" and became member number 5 of the B Group, the middle school version of the Onyanko Club. She was active in B Group but graduated from Onyanko Club on March 20, 1987.
In 1988, she joined Everyone Music and made her solo debut on April 1 with "Hitomi o Mitsumete" under Polydor. In 1991, she transferred to Yellow Cab and shifted her career to gravure modeling. She formed the group "Lady's" with fellow Yellow Cab members Hosokawa Fumie and Fujisaki Hitomi. After the group disbanded, she formed "LA-2" with Takahara Yuki and continued her music career.
Yamazaki retired from the entertainment industry in 1994 after getting married. She began learning Hawaiian quilting in Kahala, Oahu. Currently, she manages household duties while teaching Hawaiian quilting classes at the Ebina Culture Center in Ebina, and in Zama and Hiyoshi, Kohoku, Yokohama.
